Jacqueline Knox Hamm was born on September 8, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia the third child born, to Elmer Knox and Thelma Bridges Knox. She was one of the “KNOX GIRLS”!!!

She was educated in the Atlanta Public School System, attending Samuel Howard Archer High School before transferring to Luther Judson Price High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1959. That same year, Jacqueline—affectionately known as “Jackie”—married the late Luther H. Hamm, Jr. From their loving union, two children were born.

Jackie’s professional journey led her to Citizen Trust Bank, Howard Johnson Reservations, and ultimately to entrepreneurship. With her characteristic determination and creativity, she opened Teasers of Lingerie in downtown Atlanta.

In her spare time, Jackie enjoyed shopping, good food, and home cooking.

Jackie’s precious memories will forever be cherished by her daughter, Kimberley Hamm Thomas; son, David Luther Hamm; grandchildren, Tyler Thomas Delgado (Nicholas) and Joshua Luke Thomas; sister, Jan Knox Rogers; brother, Elbert Thomas Knox; and a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends.

Though she is no longer with us, Jackie’s love, laughter, and light will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
